I HATE rust!!
I thought I was done with all my rust work. That is until I got to the inner fender wells. Both of them had a bad rust that needed to be fixed. Thought about just buying report's but after reading comments on them I decided to repair them. Luckily I had one that I could use for patch panels.

Lookin' good! I have quite a few of them that need a little work. I keep putting it off. I lost the patches I had made for one of them for a while but I found them the other day. I better get them welded in before I lose them again.... ![]() LockDoc

Re: I HATE rust!!
Thanks LockDoc, I am hoping to get it all welded up tomorrow.
What do put on your inner fender well once you have it welded up and ground down? For the wheel side I was thinking POR15 then a light coat of bed liner. For the engine side single stage to match the truck.

For a filler on anything like that I always use a product called "Metal to Metal" It is an aluminized filler and won't absorb moisture like regular filler, then a coat of epoxy primer, then undercoating. Top side same thing but with the paint. LockDoc

Re: I HATE rust!!
Well I got the inner fender wells painted today as well and the radiator core support. I fixed the major rust areas and put rust converter on the other pitted areas. Painted them with epoxy primer, 2k primer then paint. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the bed liner on the inside of the fender wells over the epoxy primer.
