Rear Bumper - Chrome? Painted? Step? Original?
Debating on this rear bumper, thinking about getting the original style in chrome for the rear. I already have a chrome bumper for the front.
My GF thinks I should chrome the big step bumper, however, I’m thinking of purchasing the original style bumper. Opinions?

Since you already have the chrome front, I would go with a chrome rear. If you had a patina'd painted bumper, I'd stick with the rusty step

I do have a patina front bumper, but it’s bent up.

I think it depends what you are doing with the paint on your truck. If it will keep patina, then I say patina bumpers...if new paint, then chrome. I had cheap chrome bumpers on my truck and I am going back with painted bumpers...I think it fits my truck better.

For some reason the letters don't show up good in this pic.

I like the looks of a wraparound step bumper either galvanized or painted, the optional factory bumper didn’t look usefull and too much chrome doesn’t look all that great. My opinion, and everyone has one.

I also say keep the step bumper and paint it either white or body color depending on personal preference. I just think these trucks look great with the old school step bumpers. I love the rugged old rear bumper on mine.

FWIW, I went from this:
To this. It's a chrome step bumper from a square body Chevy:

not a fan of chrome myself, prefer paint and rust on functional parts
