The harness to go into your truck is going to run you about $750-850 and the ECM is going to run about $250-350 with a custom tune for that truck. Those are the prices I was given to put a 99-04 LM7 into my 83. IMO I'd agree you could get a better motor or get a pull out from camaro/vette for less with an ecm/harness and save yourself some $$.

As far as 6-speed's go you might want to consider this one:

So it depends on which you would prefer. If you plan to drive at highway speeds often you may want the two overdrives, if you are more for hotrodding around town with some highway driving the Richmond 6 would suit you fine too. I believe the 4-speed shifter location is something to really consider.
