It's a sickness I tell you!

Drug home another truck. Found this 1965 C36 (one ton) and the cab was so solid (for Utah) I couldn't pass it up. The previous owner had put a big block in it which I dismissed as a smog era 454 or something. Much to my surprise it is a 1966 396/325 hp manual trans from a car. Definite score! Not sure what I'm doing with this one yet. My daughter is a horse girl and thinks it would make a great first car, with a flatbed of course.

Nice truck! It is a sickness for sure...I love the look of a dually. I picked up a 64 GMC 1 ton dually last year right as I was finishing my 65!

Well you just found my favorite 1-ton... a 60-66 with 8 hole bud wheels. Awesome truck! Hope you bring it back to earning its keep again.

Thanks. I'm not familiar with the larger trucks. Did all the 1 tons have those wheels or was that an option? Did they also come with the standard 8 lug wheel similar to a 3/4 ton?

This is an old thread about a guy who busted his hump slamming one of those. I'm not suggesting that you do it. Just that I found his thread to be quite entertaining and I thought you might too if you haven't yet seen it. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=584520 good score BTY
