WTB: 15x6 5-Lug Steelie
I'm looking for a 15x6, 5-lug steelie with a Chevy 5 on 5 bolt pattern. I'm trying to find one that matches my other four wheels which I believe they are from a 1981 Chevy pickup. The wheel doesn't have to have the same date code or be from the same year, it just needs to be a stock 15x6 GM steel wheel with the same style center as the one I'm posting pics of. No pitting, bends or curb rash please. Local pickup would be great but I'm open to having a nice wheel shipped. I'm located in the Denver, CO area.
I have included pictures of the markings on my wheels for comparison. Thanks Last edited by cericd; 03-19-2022 at 02:22 PM. |

Re: WTB: 15x6 5-Lug Steelie
Just to clarify, the extra wheel doesn't need to match the current condition of my other four wheels. I just need it to be in nice restorable condition.
This is what my wheels looked like prior to refinishing. Thanks Last edited by cericd; 01-21-2021 at 06:41 PM. |

Re: WTB: 15x6 5-Lug Steelie
Hey Michael,
thanks for the response about a wheel. It appears to be in fine condition. Unfortunately, it doesn't match my wheels. Over the years GM used at least two different styles of 15x6, 5-lug, 4-nub wheels on their trucks. The main difference being the design of the center portion of the wheels. If you look at where the center of the wheel comes in contact with the barrel you can see that one wheel sits below the edge of the barrel and the other sits slightly above. Also, the face of the center of the wheel is concaved (curves inward) and the other is covexed (curves outward). My four wheels happen to curve outward. If not I would certainly be interested in your wheel. Here are a couple pics that show the different styles of wheels. The first one has a face that curves out like mine and the second pic shows a wheel with a face that curves inward like yours. |
