AMD Fenders
Not worth it will have to cut complete fender up to make patches for my originals , both sides. Ordered from Summit =AMD fenders that are in a TRi-PLUS box don't know if there the same or not . I knew it was going to be a luck of the draw at the start but dam . Basically needed 2 half fenders as mine were rusted top to bottom plus brace. figured the 2 halves plus the brace and shipping it was only about $6 more to get the complete fender and get shipping at reduced rate from Summit . Just mocked it up and gave an eyeball on the door gap and the front fender tip is about 3/8" short by the headlight grille area . Man what a let down I was told by some body guys that the other brands aren't any better Sherman, GOODMARK

Re: AMD Fenders
Your not alone. There have been many complaints on the fender fitment for our trucks.

Re: AMD Fenders
I saw a truck this weekend that definitely had aftermarket front fenders. The top point didn't line up at all with the grille support panel and the piece in the center, front of the grille was no where near close on the gaps. You could see right through the gaps.
The worst part about it is that some parts are great while others are crap. Fenders: junk Core support from AMD: fit perfectly on my truck

Re: AMD Fenders
Agree in general that fenders are some of the worst reproduction parts for years 60 to 72’. Not sure, but they may be complicated to fabricate because of the multiple surfaces that need to align. Even certain NOS GM fenders do not align. Example newer NOS 70-72 Buick Skylark/GS front fenders are welded with arch that does not match hood curvature. Spot welds need to be removed and recurved.

Re: AMD Fenders
And my son thought I was crazy for keeping my rusty (only in the bottom rear) original fenders. Just need some patch panels. Easy fix.

Got around to test fitting both fenders today ,drivers side is crap 3/8"gap at door and still short on the front . I only test fit the drvs side awhile back at the time so beings today was nice out I thought I would try again NOPE drivers side is still crap may see about returning it,the pass. side however is allmost perfect gap at door and it even matches the front grille area I was ready to ship both back but maybe just the drivers side .

Re: AMD Fenders
Been there, done that. However my body guy said The NOS fenders he put on my 75 didn't fit any better than reproductions.

Re: AMD Fenders
This is a suggestion that as many have said, there are few makers of parts, but many sellers.

Re: AMD Fenders
Fenders were one of the first repo parts for our trucks and it seem as though the makers are unwilling to correct the problems. I would never buy a complete fender. They make some real good lower fender patches and rear braces and you can probably still hunt around for a front portions. My truck was a stock survivor built in the Fremont plant and doing a complete rebuild I have found several places where parts were manipulated to make fit. So nothing about these trucks is perfect but it sure is fun trying to make them that way.
