New Hood Problems
I've been trying to get a good new replacement hood for my truck. The first one came in a mangled box and was severely damaged by a forklift that someone had used to lift it.
So it went back and I got a replacement. The replacement didn't look bad when I inspected it before signing off on the delivery receipt. It had a couple of dings, but nothing I couldn't fix. |

Re: New Hood Problems
I was on the passenger's side when we sat it over the engine compartment. I got it lined up and it didn't look bad.
But when we got to the driver's side, things were way off!!! It's also short by about half and inch in the middle, compared to the cowl panel. |

Re: New Hood Problems
So has anyone had any experience with a large panel, once you've signed for it, then find out it doesn't fit and is severly damaged?
Any ideas on how/if it can be fixed. It appears that the brace is off as much as the external sheetmetal is on it. Thanks, -JM |

Re: New Hood Problems
Looks like the hood has been pushed down in the middle making it low in the center and to wide. You may be able to pull it in with a porta power or a ratchet strap. I think I would try for hood number three.
