Re: 66 C10 Stepside Remote Fill Ideas Wanted

If I decide to move my tank to under the bed, I plan on using a 60-66 suburban or panel filler neck and fuel door in the bedside. Welding and body work definitely involved with that idea though

Re: 66 C10 Stepside Remote Fill Ideas Wanted

I found this filler neck and cap
1.5 inch filler neck
I could go on the fender top with a 2.5 inch diameter footprint.
I could bend and weld some aluminum hard pipe from this filler neck and trail beneath the fender well then 90 over with a 1.5x2 reducer fuel hose and then connect to the fuel tank filler pipe which on mine is directed towards the bed side

Looks this may be a clean install and abit custom.

Thoughts?

I think that placed in the correct spot would look spectacular. And no welding required.

Sorry, my suggestion earlier probably won't work too well on the stepside fenders. Should have read the title a little clearer.

Here is what Roll_the_dice did for his stepside: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=327

I have found only 2 limiting factors in building cars and truck,
1–creativity
2 — wallet size
Remember you are building this to please yourself, the rest are just lookers😉😉😉

I was thinking about doing that with a fill grommet and a GM script locking gas cap.
