Wheel cylinder bolt oddity

Working on my 64 GMC 1000 1/2 ton, noticed something really weird, the bolt size that attaches the wheel cylinder to the spindle is different size left to right side. The driver's side the thread size is 3/4", the passenger side is 9/16". Anyone care to venture a guess why the different sizes? This is original because the upper ball joints have never been off the truck (riveted) so I know the spindles havent been changed through out its lifetime.
Things that make you go hmmm......

That is odd. I expect that the wheel cylinder bores are the same diameter?

If I'm reading this correctly, I'm going to say it's done because they're directional parts. So if you put one side on and then the other side won't cooperate, hopefully the ol' light bulb will turn on.

They are indeed. I wonder if the fact that this truck has power assisted steering there is more stress put on the left spindle necessitating a bigger bolt??
