What kind of master cylinder is that and which one fits?
Hello community, my truck has a master cylinder for 4 disc brakes installed, but I have a disc/drum, I'm guessing it's from a Corvette, isn't it? Can I install a normal master cylinder from the 1976 truck, does it also fit on the brakebooster?
Fits the screw connection to the brakebooster? I can't identify it. Thanks

Re: What kind of master cylinder is that and which one fits?
It "looks " like a corvette or camaro master cylinder. It is a shallow depth (where the pedal rod pushes the piston).

Thanks, does a "normal" disc/drum" master cylinder fit from the brake booster bolt on ?

Re: What kind of master cylinder is that and which one fits?
Thats a good question, I assume it would. Depending on the master cylinder chosen.

Re: What kind of master cylinder is that and which one fits?
Thanks
I'll see, I'll select a master cylinder for disc/drum that is suitable for brake boosters

Looks like the same aftermarket master cylinder on my truck. The key thing is your proportioning valve hanging off the side of the MC. If it was a kit used by the previous owner, It's probably already set up as disc/drum

Re: What kind of master cylinder is that and which one fits?
No, it was set up incorrectly by the PO, I have now ordered an original master cylinder for a brake booster and rear drums from the '76 C10. I hope it fits on the brake booster

The master should fit no problem. You might have to get a different push rod though. You will know when putting the new one on.

Yes, I hope and think so too.
I measure it before installing

Re: What kind of master cylinder is that and which one fits?
Side thought... I put one of these in line to the rear brakes. That way I can dial it in to not lock up the rears depending on the load in the back.
