Aftermarket Vent Windows
Hi, I am no where's close to this but am thinking of getting the chrome aftermarket vent window assemblies and would like to know if anyone has used them and how they fit. Thanks Steve

Re: Aftermarket Vent Windows
One set didn't fit any of the factory holes. The next set from The Car and Truck Shop in Orange, CA fit pretty well.
No, I don't know who produced the first set because I bought them off someone who claimed he changed his mind and didn't use them. Of course it ewes because they didn't fit for him either!

Re: Aftermarket Vent Windows
Steve, Don’t buy your chrome vent windows until you’re ready to install them, keep the receipt, and just return or exchange them if they don’t fit. In my experience you WILL get a pair that fit but you may have to buy/return a few sets.

Re: Aftermarket Vent Windows
One piece glass is fine IF you like it. But I like the old-timey-ness of vent windows. Plus they are VERY functional in place of air conditioning unless the temperature is extreme.
I used to have a '46 Chevy pickup with the windshield that cranks open. To me, those are THE best option for cooking while underway. I understand they were a lek and maintenance issue but I loved that feature.

Re: Aftermarket Vent Windows
Thanks.. I will wait until getting to that point in the build. I worry about availability after waiting 4 months for the vintage air and 5 months for the Dakota digital dash. Steve

Re: Aftermarket Vent Windows
I thought of doing that but like the look of the vent widows for this build. Thanks for the suggestion. Steve

Re: Aftermarket Vent Windows
Thanks for the heads up. I am not going to address this until the doors are back on the cab which wil be sometime during the winter. Hopefully they won't be backordered at that time. I have been trying to think way ahead for what I need. Steve

Re: Aftermarket Vent Windows
I just got a set a month ago from H&H supply, they fit perfect. Expensive, but everything is now.
