New Rotors
I finished a frame off back in 16. I have put about 10,000 miles on since and my rotors are warped. Junk metal, assuming I got them from Autozone. They were new. Where should I look for new ones? I would get them turned, but they warped this fast, they will warp again
Thoughts?

Re: New Rotors
I see modern thin rotors warp once in a while but not the big thick ones like on our trucks. I would bet on pad imprints on the rotors. I suppose they could have high spots on them if the metal really was cheap or defective. In that case turning them might fix them for a long time.

Re: New Rotors
My last set of Autozone rotors is still going strong, 100k miles later. But they were bought long enough ago they were probably still made in USA. Most of the box store parts places have many levels of prices. Often worth while to move a few levels up the price ladder.
Before turning them, check the thickness. Not impossible that someone prior to you turned their old worn set, cleaned them up and returned them as 'New unused' for full credit. |

Re: New Rotors
Use a torque wrench when putting the wheels on. Different values of torque amongst the studs will contribute to warping
