Just keep watching the auctions. They appear there a lot. Some of them go for a small fortune, others hardly get any bids.

This is the place that I got my Ertl kit. http://www.uniquelyautomotive.net/shop/ It is the same as the Wix Blazer but it isn't put together.

I got mine on ebay early this morning, all the auctions with pictures are going for upwords of $20!!! The auction i won, in the search fields didnt show a picture, how ever when you opened the bid , it had one! I won the truck for around $10 i think,i'll check. Not even one bid, it was up for 3 days and i snagged it last moment. Some of the others on ebay are having mini bidding wars, and they still paid more then me, suckers! heh

Painting it to match our blazers is a great idea and i might end up doin it. Too bad i dont like the paint on my BIG blazer!

Hmmm no bulkhead though? Eh, dont suppose it would do me much good then...? Looks a bit rough in the pics. Do you have any idea if it functions(Besides not having a bulkhead!) 100% ? as far as the threads being stripped at all or anything? Also, does it have holes where the back connects to the bed rails? Are there threads/ if so what condition? Oh yeah is it SOLID?

Also looks like it would be a CLOSE fit with my(original) blazer buckets. They slant back pretty far, to the point where the top of the seat is over the bed. I wonder if they'd fit or rub the back window? hmmmm

Luv2xclr8 - Those are the same questions i was wondering. Still $800+ for 1/2 cab, i think i'd be better off with a $500+ soft top. Do you plan on calling this fellow? Let me know if you do, or i can. Seems weird he wouldnt answer those few questions.

Hmm, after seeing pics of the one DMNCLNR has I was thinking that if someone was eager enough they could get a busted up top from the junkyard and cut off the back, make a piece of plywood for the back wall and then fiberglass over it. And to make a bulkhead, get a front bed panel from a pickup box and make some angles for the sides to bolt it on with. Hey possibly thats all that a factory bulkhead is, is a PU panel cut down, kinda looks like it.

I think that top is a cut down full size top, not one of the "original" half tops. They usually look more like the tops of pickups with a rounded back. Still, for $100, it looks like s decent deal.

if i was going to do that i would tak the blazer top section and instead of plywood find a junk cab and use the back of the top , there is a way to mount the 2 together , and make it look more like the originals

I agree. One of the best features of a Blazer is the removeable top. Another is the ability to have a back seat and bring along family & friends! If you want a perminant top, just get a short bed pickup. To each his own I guess.
