Gooseneck Trailer Hitch
I was wonder if anyone is running a Gooseneck Trailer Hitch on they're truck, and if so what type?
I would like to put one on my 72, and I'm not sure if anyone makes one for them or not?

Bram,
Lots of options in our part of the country. Are you looking for the type for travel trailers (plate) or flatbed/livestock (ball)? Depending on which type, and what part of OK you hail from, I might have some suggestions. SSOW

The old solution was a ball welded to a plate of 1/4 - 3/8" steel, bolted to the bed and support beams.
The newer setups have about a 4" hole in the bed, with a piece of channel underneath that the ball plugs into and the safey chains hook to. Pull out the ball and you have nothing protruding into the bed. Some include a cover plate that fits in the hole to prevent small items from falling through. You can get an idea from these websites: http://www.etrailerpart.com/lockandload.htm http://www.draw-tite.com/products/pr...nderecon.shtml Shelby Trailer Service, 1-580-252-2922, installs a bunch of them around here.
