Location/measurement factory inside rearview mirror 64/66?

Finally remove the crappy 70s whatever inside mirror that has been in my truck the entire time I’ve had it. I would like to install this correct mirror brace but I don’t know the location on the windshield header. Anyone have A picture or measurement they could help me with this?

My 66 is 26 3/8" from the sun visor top screw to the top screw of the mirror and 1" from the windshield rubber to the bottom screws on the mirror hope that helps

On my '61, it was neither centered nor level.

Don't overthink it - they didn't (grin).

They must have been optional. I suspect many were dealer added. My 65 GMC never came with one. Just center it up and drill away.
