60-63 frame

What is the difference between the 60-63 frames. I found a tubular transmission crossmember and it states its for a 63-66.

Re: 60-63 frame

On the 60-62, there is a big old X in the way.

Re: 60-63 frame

The X is one of the biggest differences for sure. Also, the front frame horns and front bumper mounts are different (shorter than 63-66), the rear section past the axle is wider on 60-62 (so also different bumper brackets), front cab mounts are spaced out wider, and the other major difference is the 60-62 trucks use a torsion bar front suspension while 63-66 use coil springs up front.
