Just had to… ‘65
Showed up on Marketplace and I knew the seller. WTH, figured I would look at it…? Ended up driving it home. 🤷
1965 C10, transplant 250 6, 4sp, custom cab. Obviously someone has swapped out the box at some time. A little rough, but complete, intact, and fairly solid. Typical rust and easily remedied. Not sure of any plans for it yet, been DD’n it a week now. I forgot how much of a grin these old trucks can put on a fellla….

Nice score. Paint bed to match cab? Cab to match bed? Option three?

I’m thinking about painting the bed to match. If and when that time comes. Maybe try my hand at some “patina match”.

Took the rusty mismatched west coast side mirrors off and opted for a more OE style. Yup, still got holes in the doors. Added an inside mirror.
Much better!

Found a nice surprise under the ratty old seat cover. That seat cover did its job!
A little clean-up and it looks new again. Those dark spots in the second pic are where I scrubbed the seat and it wasn’t dry yet.

Yeah, the baby blues are cool, but are done a lot. I think a fauxtina beige will look great. Just remember to be very very subtle. I think it looks silly when the sanding through is patches.
