How much did your 69-72 350 cu in TH350 Short Bed C10 weigh?

Hi you all, I am looking for specific confirmed weight scale numbers of actual short bed two wheel drive automatic, small block Chevy 5.7L trucks, I am no expert on this generation so per the Wiki from the factory they started putting what we know as the small block in 1969, but if you shoved one in your 67-68 I recon I can live with those numbers (drum brakes vs disc brakes being one difference)

I converted my truck to electric and my solid state hard drive crashed and took all my pics and records with it, so I lost/forgot what Dusty weighed prior to the conversion.

Sorry, but I am not interested in technical specifications and what the manuals claimed

.

My guess is around 4k, at least that what I think mine weighs.

Going to a big car show next weekend, they have a guy there I think that has those 4 pads you drive up on to weigh anything. Maybe I'll find out for sure if it's for public/pay use.

Re: How much did your 69-72 350 cu in TH350 Short Bed C10 weigh?

In the past, when I wanted to weigh my vehicles, I just went to the commercial vehicle scale after hours when it was unmanned (they leave it powered up). Park on the scale, get out of the truck, and there you have the weight - on the official scale that DOT uses to check the big rigs.

Disregard this if you don't have such scales in your area, or your truck is not roadworthy.

This got me searching around my area for a scale. Found that I have a CAT scale basically in my town. It’s open 24/7, is driven by an app on phone and costs about 13 bucks first weigh and 4 bucks for a reweigh within 24 hours.

I think I’ll visit soon.
