rear tank with lower springs

Went thru the threads but didnt find my answer.
Recent truck I purchased has 5" CPP springs and the bump stops are about 1 inch from axle.
If I mount a rear tank from CPP, Im assuming that the bump stops will read on axle tube.

DO I HAVE TO DO THE MINI C-NOTCH OR CAN I GO WITH A HEAVY DUTY SPRING TO ACCOMADATE THE WEIGHT OF A FULL TANK?

Any help is appreciated

With only 1" to the bump stops I would do a C notch, or you will be slamming your axel on the frame every time you go over a bump. The ride will be terrible and you will not be happy.

Re: rear tank with lower springs

That's not enough suspension travel in that particular case, regardless of spring rate. Not only will it be highly uncomfortable, but it will be dangerous. I would C-notch the frame if you plan to lower the rear that much.
