We have a winner (or two) !

I got a flier in the mail today for the Texas Heatwave show in Corpus Christi. It made me wonder if they had posted the results from the Texas Heatwave show in Austin on their website since I did not attend the awards. I had a buddy that was supposed to go and listen for my class, but he didn't stay either.

I was surprised to find out I won my class! I got 1st place in 73-87 Fullsize Truck "Street" . I talked to Chris (81chevystep) a couple ago and he told me he won 1st in 73-87 Fullsize Truck "Mild". I don't think he ever posted it though. I guess that's what I get for not going to the awards.....

Congratulations on a supurb win. That was a huge show. My son and I were there most of the day Saturday, but with over a 1,000 trucks, unfortunately I didn't come across yours. I certainly would have recognized it immediately if I had. If you can, post a pic or two of your truck at the show.

Are you going to the show in Corpus? I was hoping to have my Blazer finished by then, but there was a little roadblock in the paint shop. But the good news is the paint will be finished this week.

Here's a link to the website, the results are posted!

Thanks for the congrats and compliment. No, I won't be making the Corpus show.

The Heatwave show is on October 1, 2, 3, the same weekend as the Goodguys Lonestar Nationals in Fort Worth, TX I'll be making my annual trek to see my Dallas area friends and enjoy pre-73 rods and trucks....

Yeah of course it does. I have "been there & done that" when it comes to car/truck shows. Regardless it still makes you proud....
