Blower motor: where to buy?

Well I’ve been learning about electricity, thank you guys. The heater fan motor in my 60 is popping the 10A fuse as soon as you switch it on. It will twist a 15A fuse and pop it after a minute or so, all the while failing to spin the motor. I yanked the motor and bench tested it, it is harder to turn by hand than youde think it should be, though it runs straight off the battery. The 14? AWG wire I was using heated up a little though. So I took it apart, cleaned things up and now it’s worse, lol. I called around and the days of rebuilding electric motors are long gone. My local stores don’t have it, and a local Chevy specialist has a motor but the bolt spacing is an 1/8” too small, and the motor is 1/4” too small in diameter.
I called LMC and the only specs they had were shaft diameter and overall length, and theirs is shorter than the OG. I’m not sure what to do. Anyone here purchased a new blower motor recently?
Mine is a deluxe heater in a 60. I believe the 60-63 deluxe and recirculating heater shared the same motor, correct me if I’m wrong.

Is this the part you need to replace ... link. I can't say anything about fit or quality, but maybe it will work for ya.

Ack yes that looks closer than the others I’ve looked at, but the OG one doesn’t have any wires at all . It simply has a post for the hot wire from the truck and it is grounded on the body of the truck. $80 ouch.
How foolish is it to get a junkyard blower motor? I could lug a battery to the junk truck in question and test it in place. What are the odds of picking a dud like mine?

Do you think you could take your original motor apart? Perhaps it needs a couple of new bearings and it would be good to go.

Here's one with 2 wires and a better price point. When I have more time than money, I'll check out the local yard and weigh the risk of ancient OEM vs. Chinese knock off.

When wandering through a Junkyard & checking electrical stuff I just use the battery from my cordless drill. More than 12 volts but it hasn't hurt anything yet & I've tested electric coling fans & moved power seats etc using a cordless tool battery. Mine is an older 14V Dewalt - I don't know if an 18 or 20 volt cordless battery would hurt anything. Just food for thought. Beats lugging around a car battery.

Ack thanks! Ima check out that site more and see if I can get some specs on that motor. Surely they wouldn’t sell a motor with a shaft that won’t fit my fan, right? Are fan motor shaft ends all the same size?
64SB that is a great idea. Ima build me some jumper wires and test your idea out tomorrow.
Dmjlambert, it looks like one of the bronze bushings, it’s the one closer to the fan and is kind of bulbous in shape, is galled. I’ve had it apart and together a few times and it ain’t getting better. Bummer because I wanted the satisfaction of having the stocker but it looks like that motor got the better of me.

If the bearing is just galled, run a reamer through it. And, polish the shaft with some fine grained sand paper or cloth.

You'll want a reamer that is +0.001" over the nominal shaft size.

Thanks grounded 63. It’s a funky bulb-like bushing, and the outside of it is scored. I did try to clean it up with a Dremel and polishing wheel , but it’s pretty bad.
This week I’m just gonna drive up to Chris Wright’s place in Mt Angel, Oregon, he says he has some good ones for $25.
I did build some jumper wires to use on my 12V multi tool battery as suggested above so I’m prepared in the future to go junkyard shopping.
