Sort of Hugger Orange, but pre Model Year 1969. You could bring that back up, if you filed out the cracks with a triangular file, and filled in the valleys with JB Weld or similar 2-part epoxy filler. When the epoxy has hardened a couple days later -- file and sand the repair rings to the level of the good parts of the wheel and prime and paint. 67/68 Wheels were made of a composite formula similar to bakelite. Then painted. 69/72 Wheels were made of a high impact plastic called Cycolac and molded in color.

Re: 67-68 factory steering wheel colors
I won't be fixing it. If someone wanted to do that I would ship it to them.
Both my trucks have black tilt's. 71 suburban GMC 4x4 4 speed tilt black sure grip wheel with center horn button that was custom cut from a 67-68 fancy GMC horn cap. My 72 Chev has a Olds 442 wheel . |
