Re: What's the deal with Tim and Paul?
Wow, did not know of Paul's passing until now. So sad to read that, he was quite the character on the board. Humor, knowledge and a passion for vehicles to go with it. A true trifecta in an automotive sense.
RIP Paul and Keep on Truckin'

Re: What's the deal with Tim and Paul?
I almost think we should start a thread Paul and even Grump,s posts. One each come to mind. Remember Paul's story he left some i think der weiner snitz in his wife's car perhaps, for day(s), figuring the microwave would cancel that out.
Grumpy responded to uneducated say, and Grumpy went on about sanding this, like that and so forth body until soft as a [insert], and then sand some more. Had to have seen it, though few got there, the post was deleted with the thread. Someone was offended, pretty sure. Good info really, shame.

Re: What's the deal with Tim and Paul?
This was the picture one of Pauls HS friends posted in his memory. I think we all had this picture of Paul in our heads. Of course, Paul is the one on the right with the girl hanging on him.

Re: What's the deal with Tim and Paul?
I think Paul was in his 50s. He was a joker and you didn't always know when he was serious or not. That 3 day old chili dog story got a lot of mileage.

Re: What's the deal with Tim and Paul?
I should have mentioned Paul was 63.
I still keep expecting him to pop up here and say something like "I didn't know you guys cared."

Re: What's the deal with Tim and Paul?
That would be nice, but it ain't gonna happen. My youngest brother had the same cancer and treatment at 51 and came close to dying then. If he'd've been 61 he wouldn't have made it either. As it is, he's pretty much destroyed and can't walk more than 50 yards without stopping for breath for a few minutes.
We're missing Paul, and while Tim is alive, we're missing him, too.

Re: What's the deal with Tim and Paul?
RIP Paul. That is a huge loss to this board. He was always so upbeat and his sense of humor was among the best I’ve ever seen. God speed my friend.

I delayed responding for exactly that reason. Sorry to hear the news. I actually thought he was a bit older. Closer to my age, 69ish.

As a three time survivor. I know some of the pain. I wish he survived, but I hope he's happy where he is. It makes me sad to think about what the pain he went through.

Re: What's the deal with Tim and Paul?
Oh man. I haven't been on here for a bit. I wasn't ready for that news. I'm holding back my words because this is supposed to be a polite environment. Paul, if you're seeing this, know that my shock and sadness provoked words that I couldn't use here. I liked your no-nonsense take on things, laced (heavily) with humor. Even though I didn't really know you personally, I appreciated the couple of offline conversations we had about real $#!7. Dang man, this makes me sad. I hope as you left you had enough energy to know that we would miss you and be sad. I hope to see you someday and compare notes again.

Rest In Peace Paul. I remember Paul mentioning at one time that he had been an amature comedian. I don't remember where he said he performed but it was a comedy club in his area. He was a hoot for sure. The safe thread was a classic.... IIOY??? (is it open yet?)
