NP205 floor clearance
I just swapped in an NP205 into my 70 K5 - the prior owner said it had a Dana 20. I have all new rubber body mounts and I am using polyurethane transfer case mounts, the ones that are used to attach the adapter to the crossmember.
The NP205 is just barely touching the bottom of the K5's floor. I have not been able to torque down the bolts going through the crossmember to the adapter but I doubt that will pull the NP205 down much. I need to move the crossmember back approximately 3/8" to make it so I can bolt the adapter to the crossmember. What kind of clearance do you all have between your floor and your transfer case?

The closest point of touching is about 1.5" where the body brace goes across the vehicle near the transfer case out put shaft. Everywhere else is inches.

Wow, I assumed the crossmembers were the same but it doesn't sound like it.

The body brace is part of the body, not the frame. It is part of the body's reinforcement, and is just behind the removeable shifter plate. Mine's a 72.

That would explain it then, I will just use some spacers to drop it down to that level than. Thanks.
