some power steering help

I found a power steering pump for 50 bucks...

this blazer doesnt have power steering.
It comes with pump and brackets...
I am not really concerned with power steering at this point, but I don't want to pass up good deals, ya know?

If I get it, and it doesnt work...is there a way to rebuild one?
if so, how much is it?

I think I saw somewhere that a refurbished one is aobut 200 bucks or something like that. I am jsut seeing which one would be more cost effective.

Of course then I need to find the proper gear box

It is also off a 72 truck, and it would go on my 71 blazer...but I don't think that is a problem....correct if wrong...

The one of the 72 will work just fine on your 71. Can't respond to the rebuild question.
