how much dose it weight
dose anybody know the approximate weight of a 67-72 swb fleet I know that this can be diferent from truck to truck ,just an # please.v-8 auto trans.C-10 I'm trying to figure out how much horsepower I,ll need to get my truck down the 1/4 mile track real fast.I found a chart that will help me with the hp to wht. ratio ,only need the trucks weight now.thanks

there was a post not to long ago and they were about 3200-3400 lbs and long beds were 3800-4000 lbs

cool 68. my chart says that I will need 805 hp to get my truck to go 9.10/144 at 3000 lbs in the 1/4 mile.

68.a 3500 lb at 805 hp will net you a 9.55/136 are we nuts or what.I hope to beat several of my friends, and their chevells to the end of the track this spring.

Don't forget that you also have to factor in how you are going to get some traction with the lack of weight on the rear-end in these trucks.

Aerodynamics at the top end seem to hold these trucks back. I've seen high 12's with no traction problems, he'd spin for about 5 feet out of the hole. That was with one 10 inch slick...can't remember the diameter. (open diff) On the top end he was only getting 105 - 107 MPH.

smbrouss70 thanks I will. and if anyone else has any gofast ideas or tips I'd love to here them.boy I can hardly wait to see some of the looks these guys will be wearing when they finally get to the finish line.
