mid-80's 4x4 Suburban wheels for sale in TX
Hey all, I have four wheels from a mid-80's 4x4 Suburban (6-lug, so assuming from a 1/2 ton) that are for sale. I bought them from a local mechanic who was checking up on my brakes on my '63 longbed - 10 years ago.
Not but a few months after that I fell asleep at the wheel one morning on the highway and rolled the truck. It landed back on all four tires, so two of the tires are damaged beyond repair and won't hold air (honestly all four tires are probably no good). One of the wheels is chipped, so I think it's useless but I'm including it anyway for kicks. The wheels have been sitting (along with the truck) for the last ten years in an open shed, so while they weren't directly exposed to the elements, they were exposed to various climates (central Texas, near the Temple area). I have no idea if the wheels should be considered "structurally sound" or not, that's for someone more educated than me on the subject to say, but I think they should be fine. I'm just north of Austin in north Round Rock (very close to the Whataburger on Parmer and 1431 that some of the get-togethers have been held), and am offering them for $50 each (of the three good ones, the chipped wheel is FREE!) or $125 for the set of four.
