Does anyone have the axle widths, the measurement between the wheel mounting surface on the drum/disk for various years and 1/2 and 3/4 ton and maybe 4x4 if different?. I know the 67-69 1/2 rear was narrow, 70 could be either, 71-72 were wider. Seems that disk then went wider in front too.
Don't have any info on the 3/4 or 4x4 in any year. Seems to me this info would be of great help in trying to decide wheel width and especailly offset on these trucks. What offset fits one truck may need or could be altered to fit better on a different truck. Also front / rear offset could be altered to fit what GM put in there. Two different trucks for example could be a 67 with a disk brake conversion, wide front - skinny rear, or a late 70 with the wide rear and narrow front drum setup. Thanks
