inner fenders: notch or pull 'em out?
Well, my front inner fenders are sitting on the tires when I air out. They're basically holding the front end up. If you stand at the front quarter panel and curl your fingers under the fender lip you feel the inner fender. It starts at the lip and gradually goes up and in towards the center of the tire. Well, my tires hit about a 1/3 of the way to the center. Should I take a cut-off wheel and notch out the area where they are hitting for more clearance? Is it worth it to do this or should I unbolt them completely? It's not a daily driver, but I would like to try and minimize road debris in my engine compartment. If I notch them, it won't be a long-term permanent fix, I may buy another set of aftermarket inners and maybe try fabbing a set up that are taller or have a different shape to clearance the tires all-together. But what do you guys think in the mean-time?
