ok i got a few questions

ok on my 68 gmc which was a factry small block truck..was told a 307,,but not sure on that..but any way
question 1: if i decide to use the 454 out of my 84,,is it a pretty much drop in, will the motor mounts from the 84 work, or am i going to have to find some.

2) should i use the 350 turbo that came with the truck or go with the turbo 400 i got laying around. now the truck will not be a heavey hauler,,or work truck..i will use it for pulling a travel trailer,,if and when i get one..

3)what year spindles can i get out of junkyard to get disk brakes up front.

4)what gears should be in the rearend..personally im not worried about take off,,i need mpg,,or at least better than the 5 to 8 i get in my 84.
anything over 10 and i will be happy.

heres the vin number
CE10DPB49417

IS THERE A PLACE I CAN LOOK IT UP..

im not restoring the truck..i want a daily driver..i dont worry about mpg to much,,but would like better then my 84 work truck..man that 5 to 8,,(closer to 6) is rough, but i knew when i bought the truck what to expect...

i want a truck i can play with, probably just gonna put it in primer, maybe the rat rod look for now,,eventually put a paint job on it...but it will never be a show truck or trailer queen..i got it to drive...i am going to get pics of it now
