Thumbs up New guy from San Diego - 73 Super10 shortbed 454

Hi all.

This looks like the right place to be! Some knowledgable and enthusiastic folks here. I love learning all about the history and options of these old Chevy's. I've always liked these 73-77(ish) shape trucks even though I'm not a truck guy. So get ready for some questions - I have a ton of 'em.

I needed something to move my "other projects and parts" around so that was the perfect excuse to buy this truck. Was for sale just 5min from home and I like the short, fleetside look. It's a 2 owner truck with 73k miles so it's in not too bad shape. The fact that it is a factory 454 and auto sealed the deal. Has an Edlebrock carb and headers w/dual exhaust. Could do with a tune but otherwise runs ok. Has a 14-bolt rearend cover (POSI and "Optional Axle ratio" based on the RPO sheet) - I'd love to know what ratio it has in it.

I can find little info on these 73+ yr trucks - esp with the factory big block in them. Are they rare or something? Already I can tell N2TRUX is my hero! I'm after that same stance but without making it a full resto (I have enough of those on my plate already). I'm a fan of the Pro-tour look and I can think of nothing better than using this to get around in.

Anyway - just wanted to say Hi and can't wait to mix it up with the people here and maybe meet some locals too.
