Inner Tie rods?

Hey All,
I just finished rebuilding the front suspension on the Blower Truck ran into a "Little" problem at the very end.

The truck is a 72 C10 power steering,brakes etc.
Now the problem, the inner tie rod I have which was purchased for onother project truck was I believe ordered for a 71-72 C10 PS,PB but the diameter of the stud is .580 and the drag link is .480 meaning the new rod won't freakin fit.

The inner rod is the smaller diameter stud as is the drag link, both inner/outer mounting points are the small dia.

So I call my Nephew he runs a local parts store and give him all the pertinent info on the truck he says yeah got em in stock so I go to pick them up they are the bigger stud also so what the hell, is the drag link off a different year truck the mounting holes are the same size.

I am not to good at explaining my thoughts written down so if anyone gets the drift of this problem Help!!!

Thanks in advance
