Exclamation My turn for a "What did you get done this weekend?" thread!

Well, I know it's only Saturday evening, but I had yesterday off too, so I actually did some wrenching on the 68. I was going to hold back and just shock everyone when I get it done, but can't wait that long

Granted these are baby steps, but it's progress, a step in the right direction.

What I got accomplished:
  • Took out the rear lowering blocks
  • Got all the lights working, and the truck actually has 2 headlights again, for the first time in many years
  • Got the front bumper re-mounted
  • Got the new/used good rear tires/rims on (free!!)
  • Got the brakes up a little, so I can drive it around the block if I'm feeling ballsy
  • Got the steps put back on (after a few years)
  • Got the rear fenders secured well
  • Got the trans fully-functioning again
  • Cut the check to the trans rebuilder for the 88 700R4 he just built for me

Like I said, baby steps. But if you consider that I've done more work to this truck in the past 2 days than I have in the past 4 years, it's kinda like a milestone I had this sick feeling in my stomach after I got done for the evening, and I just realized what it is.....a sense of accomplishment.

Going to be putting the power steering box on tomorrow, and trying to button up a few more loose ends.

Next step is getting a few hours north so my friend Jason and I can get the front end re-done, and get the discs installed

So....what did you get done this weekend?
