Timing, this is what i did

i changed out the harmonic balancer, the other one did not slip, but i changed it anyways, IT WAS FREE FROM MY BUDDY THAT OWNS THE WRECKING YARD. anyway, it matched up the same but the rubber that the counter weight is set in was all chewed up and sticking out. i changed it, and also put NGK V-GROOVE spark plugs (size is UR5) and then i reset my timing to 10* and as far as i can tell, NO SPARK KNOCK, i will let yall know tomarrow, gotta drive to HOUSTON for an extra job so i will tell yall if its back on the freeway, but as of now and around town, NO SPARK KNOCK. yippeeeeeeee. oh yea, i also fill the tank with MID-GRADE gas. so i think maybe all this together may have solved my problem

thanx for all yall that helped and had the patience to stay with me on this.
