Fill TWO tanks from ONE neck...
i know there has been some questions about this.. today i had the chance to look at my buddies truck with his bed off (82 silverado)... he cut a hole in each tank, used aircraft wing sealer, (could also be welded) to mount a piece of tube (1.5") on each tank then ran a steel braided hose from tank to tank.. he can fill up from both tanks, runs off one gauge, and use one pump, though he choises to use two...
side note.. he plans on making a skid plate to mount from one side to the other where the hose is.. as the hose hangs BELOW the drive shaft.. OR (as i also discovered) There is enough room between the frame and the bed to put a Y tube in each filler neck and run a hose from one side to the other.. you could fill from one side.. but would have to use switch and run sending unit/pump for each side.. I think i will go with choice two. its a tad easier and get the hose up higher.. as i like to play off road when i get a chance..
