Cab removal advice
I removed the cab of the 68 today. It didn't go great, but I got it done.
Basicly I used a cherry picker through the pass. window and a couple of chains and a engine leveler thing. I used the front cab frame mounts and the front seat mount holes to bolt through and lift from. Basically the cab is very front heavy so that gave me some problems then also the cherry picker was hitting the door and area behind the door. I wasn't too concerned about scratching the 68 cab, but when I go to pull the 72's cab it will be a big concern, so any tips would be great. Oh yeah, I did this with my wifes help.....maybe I should just get a few buddys to help manhandle it. |
