Up tight exhaust heats the floor, worry?

I have my exhaust installed through the cross member, its about 3" from the cab floor. My flowmasters are hung behind the cab a few inches in front of the rear-end. I drove down the block recently and in five minutes the cab floor was too hot to keep your hand it. You wouldn't notice with shoes on, but my wife came along and was bare-footed [that's how I keep her, lol] anyway I am thinking it would be smart to wrap the pipes in exhaust wrap fabric to keep the floor cooler. Plus I plan to mount my two amps under the seat, and they won't like sitting on a hot floor.

So has anyone had to wrap the exhaust to control the heat?
