Question Gas door conversion?

My 78' Jimmy, like a lot of others, has the not so hidden gas cap. It even has the fake gas cap on the drivers side... people love to tell me my gas tank is on the other side of where I parked at gas stations. Although the real cap is very functional, its not very clean looking. Im sure people have converted it to the gas door type I just dont know if it would be worth it. Any suggestions/help?
