Running new brake lines - bending ?'s
I had to wait until now to post and im still (expletive deleted)!! Sorry, running all new brake parts, got the front lines ran w/o problem (3/16" lines).
Started on the rear (1/4"). The pass side, behind the front tire, the line takes a hard u-turn. It looks like its trying to stay away from the exhaust. I've gone through 5 pre-made tubes and (ex-deleted) 'em up!! Just can't get that turn to bent w/o kinking. Looked for other routes, im just not sure. I've been using the pre-made lines (don't have a flare tool). Im using a screwdriver c-clamped to bench to bend the pipe. This works for "the easy stuff" but this u-turn is a (ex-deleted). Hope this makes sense. ANY ideas??? Thanks.....don t. .... BTW...this has me SO stressed that I just HAD to call in sick at work (grin). Its a mental thing (grin). ------------------ It aint gonna be a trailer queen, its gotta work, just like me. 3/4 ton,350 w/HEI, 79 q-jet, th400, Dana 60. |
