Alternator replacement?

Hey Guys,
My charging system is over charging @ around 15v. I’m guessing the voltage regulator is to blame for this. I have no way of knowing how old the alternator is so I was thinking of replacing both with a GM10SI from Summit. This is the 1 wire type. They don’t offer anything for my engine 230ci just V8’s. Will this alternator work on my 6cyl? They have a choice of 100 or 140 amp. Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim
