new take off tailgate
a friend of mine was driving to look at a new house his wife found. as he turns down the street the house is located on, he passes by a pile of trash stacked on the side of the road, garbage cans, boxes etc., and leaning against one of the garbage cans was a new take off GMC fleetside tailgate. he stopped, opened the rear of his blazer and loaded it up, all the while his wife is yelling at him for "stealing" the gate. he tried explaining to her that if someone really wanted the gate it wouldn't be in a pile of trash on the side of the road at 9:30 at night and then he told her what it was worth, lol. he is in the 67-72 parts business and has been for many years so he knows the value. some guys have better luck than others i guess.
thought you guys/gals might enjoy a funny story.
