rear end questions
I have a heavy half 1982 c10 chevrolet truck. I just had the transmission rebuilt and replaced and while it was there they did the trans mount and the universal joints too. I still hear what sounds like u joints clunking in the rear of the truck and given the condition of my truck i wouldnt be surprised if there is a problem in my rear end.
I still have yet to crawl under and count bolts on the differential but it is a five lug rim on there ,, so how much of a job is it to rebuild the rear on this kind of thing and what kind of gears do i want for best gas mileage ive never attempted such a job is there a book i should get or any reading i should do before i attempt such a job? TIA for replies
