Locked out...

So heres the deal, my drivers door lock keeps getting jambed in the locked position. It takes some time playing around with the key in the lock and pulling on the stick thing, idk what its called, that comes up at the top of the door in order to get it unlocked.

After i get it unlocked, with the door open, i can unlock and lock it repeatedly witht he key with no jambing. If i close the door witht he key in the lock, i can unless lock and unlock without a problem. But if i close the door without the key in the cylinder, it gets jambed, and takes another 10 min playin around with it to get it to unlock.

Does anyone have past experience with this or have an idea of what is wrong? I would be takin the door panel off right now, but the po stripped, like really stripped, the heads on the screws that hold the handle on. I dont have my easy outs with me so ill have to try vise grips or something, but if anyone has an idea, please reply, thanks.

Sorry for the long post...carry on...

BRAD
