After 4 1/2 yrs. SHE'S BACK ON THE ROAD!
I finally got my 66 drivin again! It was great. For almost a month now all I needed was a freakin battery. It was driving me crazy that I had my motor and tranny back in and everything ready to go except for a battery. So after I got my check today and got off of work the first this I did was go get the battery I needed. I then hooked up the fuel lines, put some gas in it, and she started right up and ran flawlessly. She wanted to be back on the road. I drove around for a few blocks. ( not registered yet ). And it was great. This time next year it will be at least 90% done. I love my old truck. Still, some bugs need to be worked out like realigning the carrier bearing and a few other small things to be able to drive daily. BUT, it drives and thats good enough for me right now! I've been waiting for this day for sooo long. The last few months I have been putting all of my time and effort into this truck just to get to this point. This project is a build as I can sort of thing as I'm usually to broke to do anything with it. I have pics and vids and will get them up soon. It's really late and I'm headed to bed right now. I just thought I'd share with all of you my excitement for the day.
