what do you think I should do???

My '75 short stepper ahs 56" rear springs and sits higher in the rear than the front. It also has new 32x11.50x15 BFG ATs with aluminum slots. My question is should I "pre-runner" it or should I remove a couple of the "extra" springs and lower it?
I called FABTECH about their 88-98 lift spindles and they said they WILL NOT work, dont know how true that is,but what ever.
If I lower it,should I get ralleys 6" fronts,8" rears or shouldl I keep the slots?
Thanks for YOUR opinion.
