New to it all...

Well. I guess the way to start out this is that I don't know very much about these pick ups, and I sure would like to. I'm 16 years old, I have an interest in cars and trucks but don't really have the opportunity to work on them outside of re-placing the transmission in mine and my dads (hah, two chevy auto trannys went out..) pick up. Mine is a 1979 K10

So, my first question to you guys is as follows:

When I get on the gas, I hear a squeek. I'm not sure what causes it, but I'd like to have it fixed.

My 2nd:

I have a NP203 t-case, I would like to swap it out for a NP205, So that It's a little easier on the drive train while cruising the town streets. I have a Th350 transmission, would it (np205) bolt on and replace the 203? Would I have to change anything?

The 2nd part of the question, would it be easier to somehow make the 203 a part time transfer case, by installing lock out hubs?

Thanks for all your help. Remember, I don't really know very much about all of this but I really want to learn.

Thanks again.
