Heater core in 55 1st series

Looks like the old round heater core is pretty shot and can't find a new one.

I did find one person to rebuild......for $375!!! wow.

Should I just go with a newer system? My wife would sure like to keep the round cover as she really remembers that from the one they had when she was little.

Anybody got any advice?
