Brake line ?
I'm at the point were I have to run new brake lines. The master cylinder is out of a 76 3/4 ton. The prop valve is a 71. The question is what size are the lines? There is 2 different sizes. From what I read, The larger one is for the front disc (also from a 71). The smaller is for the rear drums. Is that correct? I ordered new brake hoses for the front. I haven't picked them up yet. But, will they work on the lines that are on the truck now? It's a 63. I'm trying to get everything together to do this Monday.
Next I need to get a steering column. I could get the one out of the donner 76. Just don't wanna try wiring up the ignition. Tried finding a van tilt. There harder to find than I thought. I installed the rez adapter, power steering pump, and gear box last week. The front disc the week before that. One step at a time. |
