New guy from S. Fla, '84 GMC

Hey, just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. My name's Joe, I'm in Miami, FL. Been through a bunch of different vehicles in the last couple years, this one is my second of this body style. So on to the reason i'm here...

Picked up an '84 Sierra 1500 about a year ago, deal was I could drive it home and have it for $200 as long as I returned the 350 that was put in recently, so I got it sans motor. Became somewhat of a project after that, I put together a pretty oddball motor setup that I picked up from where I was working at the time, and got it running. Here are some quick pics of when I got it home.

After snatching the motor, before painting...

After...

New motor together and ready to go in...

Tilt auto column installed... (truck was originally 3 speed column shift)

I'll post more current pics tomorrow or so, but it's coming together quite nicely as a fun daily driver. Needs a lot more work to be great, but i'm making pretty good progress on it now after letting it sit for the last 8 months. Ended up doing a lot more than I planned on to get to where I'm at, but it's a project, that's how they always go
