Question: 64 Chev floor and rocker replacement
I am getting ready to do my first floor and rocker replacement on the passenger side of my 64 Chevy pickup. I've read several posts and have a pretty good idea what I need to do. I ordered the parts from LMC and am getting ready to trim them to fit. When I look at the two floor patch panels, I am a little confused about the amount of metal along the right side. It looks like way too much - do I need to trim this, and how much should I leave? I am also puzzled by the angle of the bend. I would have expected more like a 90 degree angle. This part of my floor is completely gone, so I have no original to look at.
My second question is about the rocker. It has some dimples that seem to have been created when the part was formed. Is this normal, or do I have a defective part? I'm sure I can correct it, but I figured new parts would be straight - or is it normal to have to do some straightening on patch panels?
Thanks for any advice you may have.
